The rapid and continuing growth of Numia Medical Technology can be attributed to the commitment to excellence,hard work, and raw talent of Numia’s dedicated employees who strive to surpass expectations of customers and community alike.
Founder Eric Flachbart has spent the majority of his 30 year career working in the drug-infusion industry. In 2005 he established Numia Medical Technology with the idea of transforming ideas into viable medical devices. Since then, and with help of the “Numians,” Eric has built a company with an excellent reputation as designers, developers and manufacturers of infusion devices.
Numia Medical Technology started as an engineering focused company, helping other medical device companies create new products and re-engineer existing products to incorporate newer technology. Numia has also helped to guide numerous companies through the FDA clearance process.
Since 2005, Numia has continued to grow. While still offering select services, Numia’s focus has shifted to providing their own line of high-quality syringe infusion devices. These infusion pumps are well received in a variety of sectors, including hospitals, home care, research facilities and other medical device companies. Numia Medical Technology still values its small business philosophy of exceeding expectations while satisfying customer’s individual needs.
While very business focused, Eric decided to establish Numia in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom, an otherwise non-fertile ground for this type of enterprise, because he feels strongly about the sense of community that the state of Vermont offers. For this reason Numia does whatever it can to support the local community. “Numians” help young Vermonters by sponsoring a robotics team at the local high school and mentoring the participants. Numia also offers learning and internship opportunities to students at the local college. This year a team of employees got together to participate in the local Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
